FSH Summer Camp runs June 15 through August 21 (no camp the week of June29–July 3), giving children nine weeks of purposeful, play-based programming rooted in the Quaker values of community, curiosity, and care. Whether your child is two years old and just beginning to explore the world beyond home, or a rising second grader ready for teamwork and big ideas, we have a program designed with them in mind.
Three Programs, One Community
FSH Summer Camp offers three distinct programs, each carefully crafted to meet children where they are developmentally and take them somewhere wonderful.
Nursery (Ages 2–3)
For our youngest campers, summer camp is a gentle first adventure. Our Nursery program is thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs of two- and three-year-olds: building trust, learning to separate with confidence, and discovering the world through play, sensation, and imagination.
Days move at a young child's pace, with consistent rhythms that help little ones feel secure. Campers enjoy outdoor exploration on our expansive campus, water and sensory play, open-ended art, music and movement, story time, and cozy quiet spaces for rest. Small group sizes mean teachers truly know each child — their temperament, their interests, their needs — and respond with warmth and intention.
Families can expect regular communication throughout the summer, and a camp environment that reflects the same relationship-based philosophy that defines FSH during the school year.
Seedlings (Ages 3–4)
The Seedlings program welcomes children entering preschool and prekindergarten who are fully toilet trained. Each week is organized around a central theme, with counselors developing curriculum that weaves together children's interests and age-appropriate challenges.
Campers start each morning with indoor discovery time before moving into games, outdoor activities, and a snack. Full-day Seedlings spend their afternoons with outdoor play, quiet cool-down time, and more thematic activities. Sample activities include process-based art, block building, storytime, and outdoor play. Full-day enrollment is $460/week; a partial-day option (with 12:45–1:00 pm pickup) is available at $360/week.
Great Oaks (Ages 5–7)
Great Oaks is a traditional day camp built around design, teamwork, and creative inquiry, and shaped as much by camper interest as by counselor planning. Each week centers on a theme, with mornings led by counselors and afternoons driven by camper choice.
Activities include outdoor team-building games, arts and crafts (drawing, painting, low-fi sculpture), puzzles, block building, and fort making. Great Oaks campers learn to collaborate, advocate for their ideas, and take on new challenges, all within a supportive, inclusive environment grounded in Quaker values. Enrollment is $460/week.
A Campus Built for Childhood
All programs take place on the FSH campus at 851 Buck Lane in Haverford, PA. Indoor facilities include a large multipurpose gym, art and activity rooms, a maker space, music room, kitchen, and library. Outside, children have access to expansive fields and play equipment that invite big movement and outdoor adventure.
Flexible Hours for Busy Families
Core camp hours run 9:00 am–3:00 pm. Before care (8:30–9 a.m.) is provided and free of charge. Extended Day care from 3:00–5:00 pm is available for a one-time enrollment fee of $50, a simple, affordable option for families who need a little more afternoon flexibility.
Spots Are Limited
Registration fills on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is due at the time of registration, and the deadline is May 1, 2026. Late registration may be available if space allows, provided it's submitted at least one week before the desired start date.
