HISTORY
The history of Ss. Colman-John Neumann School began in 1915 when St. Colman School, staffed by Sisters of St. Joseph, opened in Ardmore. Blessed John Neumann School opened on September 6, 1967, staffed by Sisters of St. Francis and lay faculty, with an enrollment of 153 students. In 1976, St. Colman School in Ardmore merged with Blessed John Neumann School. The school became known as St. Colman-Blessed John Neumann School, and was staffed by Sisters of St. Joseph, Sisters of St. Francis, and lay faculty. In June 1977, the school name was changed to Ss. Colman-John Neumann. In 1982, a major expansion and building project was completed. The new building was used as a cafeteria, an auditorium, and an athletic facility. In 1988, two classrooms, a science lab, and a technology lab were added. Also in 1988, the first lay principal was hired. In June 2013, a Life Center was dedicated, which included an athletic facility, a multipurpose room, and three classrooms. In September 2013, a preschool, enrolling 54 students, was added. For the 2013-2014 school year, Ss. Colman-John Neumann School has an enrollment of 262 students.
