Sacred Heart School of Havertown, PA promotes the educational practices of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who established the school in 1928. Faith permeates the entire school day and Catholic spirituality is celebrated in Marker Events throughout the year. For instance, Mary Marathon Day, Sacred Heart Day, Immaculate Conception-Advent Day, and Lenten Retreat Day punctuate the school year. Laser-focused academic instruction is characteristic. Classes are academy sized. Faculty members are passionate about learning and dedicated to whole-person formation. Students are called to commit themselves to be peacemakers, servant leaders, community builders, and zealous learners who practice the virtues of respect, generosity, hospitality, kindness, industry and Christian service. Sacred Heart School proactively faces and fills in the gaps caused by Covid, specifically: attention deficits, academic lags, and over-dependence on technology.
