Conveniently located near Rt 3 and 476 in Havertown PA, Starting Line Day Care and Learning Center is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 6 weeks through preschool. Through age-appropriate activities, lots of play, love, and encouragement, we aim to help children develop emotionally, cognitively, and physically. We realize that there are many childcare options available, and that this is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and your family. The doors at Starting Line are kept locked 24 hours a day, and visitors must be buzzed in only after verification. Small class sizes allow the children to receive plenty of individualized attention from their teachers. Our open door policy allows you to drop in at any time to interact with your child and his or her friends and teacher. Teachers are CPR and First Aid certified.
In order to reduce the spread of germs inside our day care, toddlers and pre-school children have designated times in which they wash they hands. Children wash their hands upon arrival in the morning, before snacks and meals, after using the bathroom or a diaper change, when returning from the playground, and after using a tissue. Staff are also required to wash their hands at the same designated times and more. We believe that establishing healthy habits such as hand-washing at a young age molds a foundation for a healthy lifestyle as an adult, as well as keeps our children healthy.
