Our doors have been opened since 1989, and in 2004, Bobbie Williamson purchased Toddler Town from it's previous owner, and has kept the quality and loving environment alive. We offer affordable child care with a loving, family-oriented, and caring staff who know everything there is to know in child care. When you entrust your children into our care, you can be sure that they will have the best atmosphere to learn, play, and grow.
Our Philosophy: The philosophy of TODDLER TOWN focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development of the child. It is our belief that learning is accomplished through play. It is only when a child feels comfortable about himself that further learning can take place. According to Jean Piaget, an eminent Swiss psychologist, the child’s interaction with his environment is paramount to learning. The emphasis is to be placed on the child’s autonomy in the mastery of that environment. Equally important is the motivation for learning that comes out of the social relationship between the child and the adult. The adult sets that stage for learning; the child acts upon the setting. Attempting to provide an environment that is conducive to the child’s learning on his own, we also stress the importance of adult guidance and mediation.
