E. M. A. Opticians owner, Bob Hufford, realized his dream of opening the premier optical business in the Philadelphia area in January 2002. His vision was to create an optical boutique with the most fun and fashion-forward eyewear from around the world. Bob’s goal was also to maintain the highest optical standards in the industry and deliver unparalleled customer service.
Since opening, E. M. A. Opticians has won “The Best of the Mainline” in Mainline Media News for twenty one consecutive years, from 2002 to 2022- every year his boutique has been open! E. M. A. Opticians was also named “The Best of the Mainline” in Mainline Today Magazine in 2006 and Best Eyewear in Philadelphia Style's 2019 Style Guide.
E. M. A. Opticians is named for Bob’s three children; Elisabeth, Madeleine and Alexander. He only wants the best for his children, and he would not put their name on a product that is not of the highest quality!
