Friends' Central School: Early Childhood Programs

The Early Childhood Program at Friends’ Central (Nursery to Kindergarten) offers a stimulating and nurturing environment where young children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We challenge children to expand their knowledge and imagination, hone their relationship skills, develop problem-solving abilities, and acquire independence and self-confidence. The intentional arc of our Early Childhood Program begins with Nature Nursery, where our youngest students develop a love of learning in a largely outdoor-based program.

The mission of the Phebe Anna Thorne school is to provide play based, developmentally appropriate, child centered programs for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners. On our Bryn Mawr Campus, we offer part time programs for toddlers, part and full day programs for preschoolers and language enrichment programs for children with speech language delays.
